An authentic wine, a pure reflection of the Burgundian terroir, combining finesse, power, and respect for nature
The Domaine Pierrick Bouley is located in Volnay, at the heart of the prestigious Côte de Beaune in Burgundy. Founded in the early 19th century under the name R & P Bouley, this family estate is now run by Pierrick Bouley, the sixth generation to manage it. After joining full-time in 2009, Pierrick officially took over in 2014, continuing the family tradition while bringing a modern vision to the estate.
Covering about 10 hectares across several renowned appellations, including Volnay, Pommard, Monthelie, and Beaune, the estate consists of exceptional parcels, some of which are classified as Premier Cru. Under Pierrick's leadership, the domaine has transitioned towards more environmentally friendly viticulture, adopting organic and biodynamic practices, with organic certification expected for the 2023 vintage. This approach aims to best express the purity of Burgundy’s terroirs.
The vineyard primarily comprises old Pinot Noir vines, with grapes harvested manually and vinified without added sulfur since 2017. The wines are aged in French oak barrels, resulting in elegant and complex cuvées, marked by fine tannins and fresh red and black fruit aromas.
By combining tradition with innovation, the domaine has established itself as a rising star in Burgundy. The precision of the vineyard work, paired with natural winemaking, allows each cuvée to authentically reflect its terroir, strengthening the international reputation of prestigious appellations like Volnay and Pommard. Today, Domaine Pierrick Bouley is a key player in the Côte de Beaune, blending ancestral expertise with environmental respect
