Champagne Grand Brut - Double-Magnum - Maison Perrier-Jouet
Champagne Grand Brut, Maison Perrier-Jouet, Double-Magnum
The Maison Perrier-Jouët is one of the most prestigious houses of champagne. In 1811, cork maker Pierre Nicolas Perrier marries Rose Adelaide Jouet. From their union came the trading house that bears both their names. Four years later, Pierre decides to expand and starts exporting his champagne to the United Kingdom and North America.
His son, Charles Perrier, will later strengthen the presence of the champagne house in England in 1854. Thanks to his efforts, the Maison Perrier-Jouet becomes the official supplier of Queen Victoria, in 1861. After his death, his nephews Henri and Octave Gallice took the helm. It's through one of their Parisian friends in the world of arts that they found the House's current logo: the anemone.
