Le Pin 1997

Le Pin is a legend among connoisseurs and a highly sought after item. The former owner of the Château Le Pin and the vineyard, Ms. Laubie, sold everything to a certain Jacques Thienpont in 1979, who kept the old traditions alive. The only small change he made was to modernize some of the winery's equipment in 2011.

Chateau Le Pin is part of what some started to call "garage wines" in the 1990's. That is to say a wine made in a castle, which was only available in very small quantities, due to a limited production. The vineyard you will find at Chateau Le Pin only covers 2 hectares and can produce 8000 bottles per year, at most (500 to 700 crates of a very tannic wine).
