Meursault 1er Cru Clos des Bouchères 2013 - Monopoly - Domaine Roulot
Meursault 1er Cru "Clos des Bouchères", Vintage 2013, Domaine Roulot
- Presentation of the winery
Guy Roulot, then his son Jean-Marc, currently at the head of the estate, cultivate 10.5 hectares of vines under biodynamic principles, in Meursault.
The vineyard of this estate is remarkable:
- 6 climates in the Meursault Village appellation: Les Tessons, Vireuils, Tillets, Meix-Chavaux, Narvaux and Luchets;
- 4 premiers crus: Bouchères, Les Charmes, Les Perrières and Poruzot.
The production is 50 to 60,000 bottles per year, and the wines are extremely sought after.
- Wine
The vineyards of Meursault, in the heart of the Côte de Beaune, lay on an exceptional terroir between calcareous and marl soils. White Meursault has a pale gold color with greenish tones. The nose is of great delicacy, as well as complex (many and varied flavors, changing depending on the climate). In the mouth, the white Meursault has a rare density, a fine and deep structure. This is a very harmonious wine, whose balance is perfect (fat / acidity, floral and mineral aromas).
