Petrus became a legend, this mythical wine is sought worldwide. The winery is named Petrus thanks to Petrus plot located in the Pomerol appellation. You should know that the wines of Pomerol have never been classified, but Petrus is still considered one of the greatest Bordeaux, as well as the great wines of the Medoc.
The vineyard of 11.5 hectares is situated atop the plateau of Pomerol, it extends on soils particularly old black clay basement dross of iron. The planting is mainly composed of merlot and the average age of the vines is 40 years. The annual production is about 35,000 bottles.

The dress of Petrus 1989 is ruby. The nose of this wine is right, subtle, and fruity, with notes of cocoa, almond and licorice. On the palate, the attack is clear, soft and sweet, always with notes of red fruits. It is a wine with body. This wine has a beautiful aromatic back in the final, with liquorices notes.
