Château Pontet-Canet was ranked fifth Grand Cru in 1855. Alfred Tesseron is running the castle for 10 years now. The castle grounds Pontet-Canet is located in the heart of the Pauillac appellation, south of Mouton Rothschild vineyards and Armailhac. The planting of the vineyard of 80 hectares is dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon, which provides the structure of the wine, it is blended with Merlot and Cabernet Franc, which bring a touch of softness and charm.

Château Pontet-Canet 2010 has a purple color. The nose of this wine is complex, with notes of violet, blackberry, currant and cherry. On the palate, this wine is smooth, with a very straight structure and great length. This wine is elegant and delicate with lovely freshness and great finesse.
