The Château Latour is one of the most famous castles in the world of wine. The castle is named in honor of the tower erected near the castle since 1331. In 1855, he was ranked Premier Grand Cru. The vineyard is 65 hectares, including 47 of the Pens, which are used to develop the great wine. The soil is composed of gravel ridges. The vineyard is predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. In 1993, François Pinault bought the castle to give it a new breath.
