- Presentation of the winery
Château Margaux always belonged to the legend, before being classified Premier Grand Cru in 1855. In 1977, André Mentzelopoulos, a Greek with a very strong personality bought the estate. It is now his daughter who is the current and only owner of the castle. She continues the work of her father, between tradition and modernity. In 2000, she has opened a research and development department. The vineyard is located on a hill serious covering about 100 hectares.
