Chevalier Montrachet Grand Cru 2006 - Domaine d'Auvenay
AOC, Bourgogne, Côte de Beaune, Grand Cru Chevalier-Montrachet
- Presentation of the winery
In the 1990s, famous Lalou Bize-Leroy, CEO of the house Leroy, shareholder of Romanée-Conti, bought the Auvenay winery, which includes two grands crus in Côte de Nuits and some beautiful plots in large white terroirs of Côte de Beaune. This area of 4 hectares apply the same techniques of cultivation and vinification than the Domaine Leroy. The vines are biodynamic and cover many names, from aligoté to grand cru Chevalier Montrachet. We find in these bottles the style that made the reputation of the great Burgundies. Few people have the chance to taste the production of this property of Côte d’Or, as the global demand is high and the prices very expensive.
- Wine
Chevalier Montrachet from Domaine d'Auvenay has a yellow color with straw. This wine is delicate and powerful with notes of almond, pear, financier. On the palate, the wine is complex, fine, with a good length.
- Information
Only 590 bottles of this wine have been produced and they are numbered.
