A remarkable estate in Volnay
Nicolas Rossignol, 5th generation of winemakers of the Côte de Beaune family estate, finished his studies at the Lycée Viticole de Beaune in 1994 (as a student, he worked for the Château La Cardonne, which belongs to the Lafite-Rothschild family). He created his own estate in 1997, on about 3 hectares of land spanning across multiple villages, like Beaune, Pommard or Volnay. Over the years, he increased the estate’s size, and now produces about 30 different appellations (Clos du Roy, Savigny-les-Beaune…)
This young and talentuous Burgundy winemaker offers premier cru wines with delicate flavors, which demonstrate their respective terroirs characteristics. The wines produced by the 17 hectares vineyard of the Domaine Nicolas Rossignol are all made with carefully selected grapes, from vines grown using traditional viticulture techniques largely inspired by biodynamic methods.
