Located in Saint-Julien's appellation area, was ranked second cru in the official Grands Crus du Médoc classification in 1855. This estate and its wines traduce the nobility of the terroir. Four families have succeeded in Château Gruaud-Larose since its creation in 1725.
Four types of vines are grown in this 82 hectares area : Merlot noir, Petit Verdot Noir, Cabernet Franc Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon Noir. The domain produces two different wines : Château Gruaud-Larose, and Target de Gruaud-Larose.
