Ruchottes-Chambertin 2013 - Domaine Armand Rousseau

Three generations of winemakers, Armand, Charles and Eric made the Rousseau's winery one of the most famous Burgundy family. The vineyard consists of 14 acres of pinot noir. The area of 3.5 hectares in the 1st Crus and Grands Crus 8.5 hectares, including Chambertin and Chambertin-Clos de Beze. The domain is the incarnation of the Burgundian tradition.

Ruchottes comes from "Ruchots", which refers to the rocks outcropping the access road to the plot.
- The wine
Great wine of Côte de Nuits, the Ruchottes-Chambertin is a neighbour of Mazis-Chambertin and Clos de Bèze. Its location on a limestone and stony ground, gave it its name and a special character, very popular. The dress is light, nuanced, the nose reveals aromas of fruit, red and black and then floral notes, bringing a sharp attack on the palate.
