The history of Grand-Puy-Lacoste is fascinating, it is part of a family saga that dates back to the 16th century. Grand Puy name comes from the expression "puy" which means "mound, small hill." The vineyard of 55 hectares is located at height of Bages and southwest of Pauillac, and is on a gravelly soil, ensuring good drainage and excellent exposure. The vines are composed of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc.

Grand Puy Lacoste 2010 has a dark red color. The nose of this wine offers aromas of cassis, but also spices. The palate is dense and sweet at first, it continues with a powerful tannic structure and well balanced. The aftertaste is a beautiful aromatic persistence. The year 2010 is undoubtedly one of the mythical vintages.
