Meursault Les Grands Charrons 2012 - Bernard Boisson-Vadot
- Presentation of the winery
Bernard Boisson-Vadot works 3.5 Ha on the 8.5 of the family domain shared with his son Pierre (Domaine Pierre Boisson) and daughter Anne (Domaine Anne Boisson). Domaine Boisson-Vadot is located in Meursault, and works various names such as Meursault, Auxey-Duresses or Bourgogne Aligoté. Each one works his own plots.
The Boisson family works in compliance with nature, with great respect for natural processes. A substantive work is being done both on vines: no addition of fertilizer, tillage plots, manual harvesting, and during winemaking (indigenous yeasts, long ageing in barrels, bottling without filtration). Intergenerational cooperation works quite well in the family, still under the aegis of Bernard Boisson-Vadot, emblematic figure of the estate.
The Meursault Les Grands Charrons (over 25 years old vines), Les Chevalières, and Meursault 1er cru Les Genevrières are the most famous parcels of the estate.
This estate, little known a few years ago, is one of the rising stars of Burgundy.
