Meursault Sous la Velle 2012 - Anne Boisson
- Presentation of the winery
Anne Boisson, daughter of Bernard Boisson-Vadot, is managing her 1.5 Ha of vines on the familial estate of 8.5 Ha (3.5 for the parents, Domaine Boisson-Vadot, 3.5 for her brother, Pierre Boisson). Boisson estate, located in Meursault, is working on various appellations, such as Meursault, Auxey-Duresses or Bourgogne aligoté.
The Boisson family works in compliance with nature, with great respect for natural processes. A substantive work is being done bot on vines: no addition of fertilizer, tillage plots, manual harvesting, and during winemaking (indigenous yeasts, long ageing in barrels, bottling without filtration).
The Meursault Les Grands Charrons (over 25 years old vines), Les Chevalières, and Meursault 1er cru Les Genevrières are the most famous parcels of the estate.
This estate, little known a few years ago, is one of the rising stars of Burgundy.
- Wine
White Meursault has a gold-colored dress, more or less sustained. Meursault Sous La Velle, from Anne Boisson, remains in the line of finesse and complexity of the estate wines, coming from family work and intergenerational collaboration. This wine has a very good aging potential.
