In 1962, Château Duhart Milon was bought by the Rothschild family, who already owned the neighboring estate Château Lafite. This winery had a reputation for harsh wines, it certainly has to do with the largest proportion of Petit Verdot. The vineyard is 70% of Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% of Merlot and 5% Cabernet franc.
