Organic Wines from Jura

Located in Arbois since 1991, the Domaine de la Tournelle, led by Evelyne and the late Pascal Clairet, extends over eight hectares of vineyards, creating a mosaic of small, fertile plots. Upon their arrival, the winemakers chose a biodynamic approach, embracing environmentally friendly practices such as using composted manure and horn dung instead of pesticides and chemical fertilizers. The vineyard, primarily from massal selection, is carefully surface-plowed to enhance soil vitality. The achievement of organic certification in 2010 solidified their commitment to responsible viticulture.

In their cellar, Evelyne maintains her dedication to natural winemaking methods. Indigenous yeasts are employed, and the process, up to bottling, is conducted without the addition of sulfites. Aging on fine lees imparts a structure to the wines that promises a graceful evolution over time. Tastings reveal a captivating tension and stability, with unfiltered juices exhibiting a striking energy. The Domaine de la Tournelle, with its resolute natural approach, gives birth to elegant and expressive Jura wines.
