Richebourg 2002 - Domaine de la Romanee-Conti
- Presentation of the winery
Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, is considered one of the world's most prestigious areas, with a vineyard of 25.5 hectares. The Domaine de la Romanée-Conti that we know today was founded in 1942 by Edmond Gaudin de Villaine. Currently, Aubert de Villaine and Henry-Frédéric Roch are co-managers. This area has become a legend, in fact, the prices of bottles reach new heights.
- Grand Cru Richebourg
Richebourg is a name that evokes wealth. Grand Cru Richebourg is located north of the Romanée-Conti. The soils are thin, in fact only 30 cm, which causes the vines to seek deep into the limestone marl Bajocian, elements that allow their survival.
- Wine
Richebourg 2002 has a red purple color. On the nose this wine shows very complex aromas with floral notes, such as peony, pink or violet, but also spicy notes of licorice, vanilla, coriander, even hints of fruit, such as raspberry, cherry. On the palate, this wine is tactile. The finish is very long, with notes of pear and spice.
