Description
  • Presentation of the winery

Above all else, Remi Jobard loves nature. He cultivates the 9 hectares of his family domaine in Meursault and has been a sincere believer in organic farming for years. There, the grapes are 35 years old, get picked up by hand and the wines are embottled after 18 months in the cellar. As a result, Remi Jobard's wines have a rich taste and they can grow old quite nicely.

Fifth generation of Meursault winemakers

The Domaine Antoine Jobard, located in Meursault, Burgundy, is rooted in a beautiful family history. It directly traces its origins back to the Domaine Pierre Jobard, which was divided between the two heirs of the owner at the time, Charles and François Jobard, in 1971. Charles inherited a part of the vineyard and established his own wine estate, which he passed on to his son Rémi Jobard in 1991, who has now become one of the region's most renowned figures. As for François Jobard, he also launched his own business, the Domaine François Jobard, with the vines he received from his dad.

In 2006, the 6.5-hectare estate changed its name to "Domaine Antoine Jobard", in honor of his son Antoine, who successfully took over the reins. Since its establishment in 1860, this Côte de Beaune estate has remained within the Jobard family, with Antoine representing the fifth generation to lead it. This estate distinguishes itself through its exclusive production of long-aging white wines, particularly Meursault.

François and Antoine carry on the tradition of excellence in producing outstanding cuvées. Situated in the finest climates of the appellation, such as Blagny, Charmes, Poruzots, and Genevrières, the wine estate manages to skillfully reveal the unique personality of each terroir, offering precise and truly distinctive wines. Antoine cultivates his grapevines as his father did: with care, adopting environmentally friendly practices, avoiding the use of chemical herbicides, plowing the soils in the traditional way, and allowing grass to grow between the rows. He also intentionally manages the yields, allowing for a natural concentration of the wine's aromas.
