The vineyards of Cos d'Estournel covers 91 hectares, it is located south of Saint-Estèphe on extra deep gravelly soils in calcareous soil. The vineyard is 60% of Cabernet Sauvignon, mainly on gravel soils of the summit and slopes of 40% Merlot on slopes and coasts. The estate produces a second wine called “Les Pagodes de Cos”.
- Wine
The year 1982 was an exceptional year. The color of this wine is ruby. After aeration the nose is opulent, with notes of ripe fruit and spices. On the palate the wine is intense, a beautiful harmony and tannins are melted.
