Provence rosé, as told by Brad Pitt
The famous Château Miraval and its 30 hectares vineyard can be found in the Var department (in the French Provence region), and more precisely in the small village of Correns. Built during the 17th century, the building has been the home of many famous people, like Thomas Aquinas, Joseph-Louis Lambot or Jacques Loussier. In 2011, the castle was bought by soon to be married Hollywood power couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. Later on, they decided to produce their very own celebrity rosé wines.
The famous Miraval, a.k.a. Wine Spectator's "World's Best Rosé 2013", is the result of two well-known families working together: the Perrins and the Pitts. This incredible collaboration between the glamour of Hollywood and the craftsmanship of the Rhône Valley gave us the Miraval Rosé. A very pale rosé wine, with intense flower aromas and a delicious cherry and strawberry taste.
