High-quality biodynamic Jura wines
André and Mireille Tissot are the parents of Stéphane Tissot, who now manages the family estate with the help of his wife Bénédicte. In 1962, the pair founded their wine estate in Montigny-les-Arsures (in the Jura region), after André had inherited a vineyard from his father Maurice Tissot. Mireille and André thus started their new lives as winemakers with 38 acres of land to cultivate. They both worked tirelessly for years, having one single goal in mind: to develop the quality of the family wines and let the Jura terroir shine through them.
Their efforts ultimately bore fruits, as the estate's cuvées became quite iconic in the region. In 1980, André and Mireille left their son Stéphane, who had just finished his studies in Beaune, in charge of the family business. He trained with André, taking care of the entire winemaking process, while his dad was outside in the vineyard. He was the one responsible for the (now 50 hectares) estate's total conversion to biodynamics in 1999. Today, the family business bears the name "Domaine Bénédicte & Stéphane Tissot".
