Case of 12 Pingus 1998
D.O. Ribera del Duero
- Presentation of the winery
Sisseck Peter has Danish origin and is the owner of the domain of Pingus, located on the label Ribera del Duero. Pingus is considered one of the greatest wines of Spain, as Petrus is in France. Peter Sisseck was trained as an agronomist engineer, he vinifies the wine himself. Pingus comes from four parcels of very old vines of Tempranillo aged over 70 years. Yields from these vines are very low, about 7hl/ha, an average of 3,500 bottles for 5 ha. This wine is not only of great rarity, but it also has a unique taste.
Pingus 1998 has a dark ruby color with purple reflections. On the nose this wine is deep, mineral, floral, with notes of violet, peony, red fruits, vanilla and smoked. On the palate, this wine is balanced, complex and powerful, with great length.
