Unique champagne from the Montagne de Reims
Gaspard Brochet is part of the Champagne region's new talents. Son of winemaker Vincent Brochet, Gaspard quit his job as a graphic designer in 2014 to go back to school and learn all there is to know about wine. He became the new owner of the family estate two years later, and the heir to 70 years of champagne tradition. With his fresh outlook on things and his own personal philosophy, Gaspard Brochet quickly decided to treat his new vineyard (3.3 hectares, located in Sacy, Écueil and Villers aux Nœuds, in the Montagne de Reims) as respectfully as possible.
Thus, the estate is HVE certified (it stands for "High Environment Value"), which means reasoned farming is mandatory. Gaspard also began the organic conversion process in 2021, so he could definitely ban the use of chemicals. Since 2017, he's been producing two different brands of champagne: one bearing his own name, and the other cuvée using the name of his now-retired dad, Vincent Brochet. The champagnes made by Gaspard Brochet are one of a kind and they all perfectly encapsulate the richness of the local wine terroirs.
