Nestled in the heart of the Agly Valley in the picturesque Roussillon region, the Domaine Le Clos des Fées embodies the fascinating and inspiring viticultural journey of Hervé Bizeul and his wife Claudine. Founded in 1997, the estate derives its poetic name from the locality known as "Clos des Fées", a place where, according to local legends, fairies gather to celebrate the winter solstice. The 30 hectares of old vines, with grape varieties such as Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre, and Carignan, benefit from a diverse terroir composed of schist and clay-limestone soils.

Hervé Bizeul (former Best Young Sommelier of France 1981, restaurateur, and even journalist) infused the estate with a philosophy centered on respect for nature and the desire to offer magic in a bottle to its customers. Opting for reasoned farming, the Clos des Fées avoids the use of synthetic chemicals, prioritizing an eco-friendly approach. The estate's iconic wines, including the powerful and elegant "Le Clos des Fées", have won critical acclaim, contributing to the renown of Roussillon wines. The winery provides an ideal setting for winemaking and aging, reflecting a consistent commitment to quality and the authentic expression of the local terroir.
