Château Léoville Las Cases is a winery in the Saint-Julien appellation of Bordeaux. The name of the castle “Château Léoville Las Cases” is also the name of the red wine produced by this property. The wine produced here was classified as one of fifteen Deuxièmes Crus in the original Bordeaux wine official classification of 1855. Léoville-Las Cases was one of the first winery in Bordeaux to introduce a second wine named “Clos du Marquis”. Since 2007, the Chateau has offered a new wine known as “Le Petit Lion de Marquis de Las Cases”. The vineyards area in total extends 97 hectares. The largest plot (60 hectares) of Léoville-Las Cases vineyards, known as the Grand Clos. Grand Clos is located on the northern boundary of St-Julien, with only the Juillac tributary separating its vineyards from those of Château Latour. • Wine

The wine produced by this area is undoubtedly one of the best wines of Saint-Julien appellation, but also one of the best wines of Bordeaux. This wine has a ruby purple dress. The nose reveals itself slowly to let us guess vegetal notes, blackcurrant aroma, lavender and ends with mineral notes and smoke. In the mouth, there is a dense attack some complexity, a beautiful minerality and a very long finish.
