  • EYE: The wine unveils a robe of crystal-clear clarity, radiating with golden hues. Its pale color with green reflections evokes a vibrant youthfulness. In the glass, this cuvée exhibits a beautiful viscosity, a testament to the rich and concentrated character of this white Burgundy grand cru.
  • NOSE: Olfactorily, this vintage boasts an elegantly composed bouquet. Delicate floral aromas, such as acacia and linden, harmoniously intertwine with notes of fresh fruits like lemon and green apple. Barrel aging subtly expresses itself with subtle accents of vanilla and hazelnut. A balanced aromatic equilibrium, somewhere between freshness and complexity.
  • MOUTH: The tasting reveals a Puligny-Montrachet of great finesse on the palate. The silky texture and the vivacity of acidity create a remarkable harmony. Flavors unfold with elegance, showcasing notes of white-fleshed fruits, toasted almonds, and subtle minerality. The persistent finish leaves a delicate imprint on the palate.

In short: Produced in 2020, Philippe Pacalet's Puligny-Montrachet unveils a promising aging potential, estimated between 5 and 10 years. Famous Beaune winemaker

Philippe Pacalet is from a family established in the Burgundian vineyard. He began his professional activity with his uncle, Marcel Lapierre, precursor in research and defense of natural wines without sulfur. As oenologist at Domaine Prieuré in Côte d'Or, until 2001, he began to implement his non-interventionist approach, aiming for a respect for nature and winemaking methods without sulfur or industrial yeasts. He is still using those methods, since his installation in Beaune.

Philippe Pacalet rents for his activity 8 hectares on the Côte de Beaune, of carefully selected vines, and produces wines from more than 20 appellations. Manual harvesting, selecting only mature grapes, allow him to produce very fine wines of great aromatic purity and precision. The wines from this producer are also widely known for their sweetness and complexity, as well as their consistency between nose/mouth.
