The origin of Pichon Longueville goes back to 1688-1689. In 1850, Virginie Pichon Longueville, Comtesse de Lalande by marriage, inherits 3/5th of her father's vineyard . The vineyards will have few years later the name of Chateau Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande. In 1978, May-Eliane de Lencquesaing in turn receives this beautiful area and devoted body and soul, she gives it an international reputation due to constant quality. In 2007, the Champagne winery Louis Roederer bought the castle, aiming to maintain the domain at such a high level of quality and prestige. Château Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande extends over 85 hectares, this castle is unique in the Pauillac appellation, as 11 hectares are located in the area of Saint -Julien. Soil sue which extends the vineyard is composed of Garonne gravel on clay. The vines are 45 % Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot, 12% Cabernet Franc and 8% Petit Verdot.

The color of this wine is dark red. The nose reveals fresh, fruity, we can imagine a beautiful matter on the palate. This wine has beautiful aromas, with notes of cherry, blackberry, raspberry, cinnamon, violet. Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande 2010 is a very stylish Pauillac, slim and firm. The attack of this wine is precise, invigorating and gives way to a full and firm structure. On the palate, this wine has tannins of great finesse, but with a large volume.
