Tasting note for the Meursault 2021 - Domaine Anne Boisson
- EYE: The wine displays a bright pale yellow hue, revealing its freshness and youth.
- NOSE: The nose is expressive, offering fresh citrus aromas such as lemon and lime zest, complemented by white-fleshed fruits like apple and pear. Delicate floral nuances, particularly acacia, complete this complex and elegant bouquet.
- PALATE: On the palate, this Meursault stands out with its vibrant acidity and refreshing character. The fruity flavors are prolonged with a marked mineral touch, characteristic of the Meursault terroir. The texture is silky, and the long, harmonious finish is enhanced by subtle saline notes.

A new generation of female winemakers in Meursault
Anne Boisson, the daughter of famous winemaker Bernard Boisson-Vadot, is managing her 1.5 Ha of vineyard on the family estate of 8.5 Ha (3.5 for the parents and their Domaine Boisson-Vadot, 3.5 for her brother, Pierre Boisson). The Boisson estate, located in Meursault, is working on various appellations, such as Meursault, Auxey-Duresses or Bourgogne aligoté.
The Boisson family works in compliance with nature in all their different estates, with great respect for natural processes. A substantive work is being done on vines: no addition of fertilizer, tilled plots, manual harvesting, and during winemaking (indigenous yeasts, long aging in barrels, bottling without filtration). The Meursault "Les Grands Charrons" (over 25 years old vines), "Les Chevalières", and Meursault 1er Cru "Les Genevrières" are the most famous parcels of the estate. The cuvée "Sous la Velle" is made with 60 year-old grapevines. This estate, which was still pretty much unknown a few years back, is now one of the rising stars of the Burgundy region.
