Morey-Saint-Denis Wines
The marriage of Jean Taupenot and Denise Merme in 1963 gave birth to the Domaine Taupenot-Merme, now led by their two children, Virginie and Romain. Located in Morey-Saint-Denis, the family estate neighbors iconic producers such as the Clos de Tart and the Clos des Lambrays, and spans over 13 hectares in Morey-Saint-Denis and other terroirs in the Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune. Since 2023, the estate is certified organic (AB), preserving the Burgundian traditions while expressing the uniqueness of each of its climates.
The estate produces a prestigious selection of Burgundian appellations, including six premier crus and three grands crus from the Côte de Nuits, such as Mazoyères-Chambertin, Charmes-Chambertin, and Clos des Lambrays, along with a grand cru from the Côte de Beaune: Corton Le Rognet. Despite dedicating 11 hectares of vines, aged over 40 years, to Pinot Noir grapes, Romain and his sister also vinify white wines, notably Chardonnay from the Côte de Beaune. The estate's wines are renowned for their authentic and fresh characteristics, faithful reflections of their terroirs.
