Organic champagne since 1971
The Domaine Georges Laval is the perfect example of an ultra-confidential vineyard. Currently managed by Vincent Laval, the son of the original founder, this tiny Champagne estate is located near Épernay. Only 3.3 hectares of grapevines and they're entirely cultivated according to organic farming principles (with an official certification to prove it). In 1996, five years after finishing his BTS oenology courses, Vincent inherited the family estate founded in 1971. That was only the birth of the estate though, since the Laval family has been cultivating grapevines for 4 generations.
Vincent and his father Georges share a common philosophy: an infinite respect for nature and the many terroirs in the region, as well as a deep love for winemaking. Patience and perseverance are the two mottos of Vincent Laval, who knows how to produce finely crafted cuvées. Powerful, complex and above all authentic. With his team of 4 people, the winemaker artisan takes infinite care of his grapevines (mostly Chardonnay, but also Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier). The vineyard had an output of around 20.000 bottles of wine per year.
