Côtes de Provence Rosé 2022 - Miraval
Tasting notes for the Miraval Rosé 2021 - Château Miraval
- EYE: Very pale and crystalline pink, reminiscent of the color of white peaches. The tears are fine and elegant.
- NOSE: Highly expressive and fresh, with aromas of red fruits (strawberries, raspberries) and pink grapefruit, as well as delicate floral notes of roses and white flowers. There is also a touch of citrus that brings liveliness to the overall aroma.
- MOUTH: This rosé is fresh and vibrant, with a beautiful acidity that provides tension and a certain straightness. The flavors of red fruits are pronounced, supported by notes of pink grapefruit. The finish is persistent and pleasant, with a slight bitterness that brings balance to the whole.
In short: This Miraval Rosé 2021 is the brainchild of the Perrin family and the former celebrity couple Pitt/Jolie. This bottle, with its surprising design, needs to be served fresh (between 8 and 10°C). It will perfectly pair with light summer dishes such as salads, grilled fish, or seafood. It can also be enjoyed as an aperitif, accompanied by some tapenade or guacamole toasts. You can experience it right away or keep it stored until 2026.

Provence rosé, as told by Brad Pitt
The famous Château Miraval and its 30 hectares vineyard can be found in the Var department (in the French Provence region), and more precisely in the small village of Correns. Built during the 17th century, the building has been the home of many famous people, like Thomas Aquinas, Joseph-Louis Lambot or Jacques Loussier. In 2011, the castle was bought by soon to be married Hollywood power couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. Later on, they decided to produce their very own celebrity rosé wines.
The famous Miraval, a.k.a. Wine Spectator's "World's Best Rosé 2013", is the result of two well-known families working together: the Perrins and the Pitts. This incredible collaboration between the glamour of Hollywood and the craftsmanship of the Rhône Valley gave us the Miraval Rosé. A very pale rosé wine, with intense flower aromas and a delicious cherry and strawberry taste.
