  •  Presentation of the winery

Above all, Miraval is the story of two families coming together: the Perrins and the Pitts. The first one hails from glamorous Hollywood, the second one is straight from the Provence vineyards. The Perrins were already pretty famous for their Beaucastel estate but, since 2011, they’ve also accepted to manage the Château Miraval as well (which was bought by the former Jolie-Pitt couple in 2008).

The Perrin family has always been a precursor when it comes to respectful agricultural practices: they’ve completely switched to organic wine making during the 1950s. And if you think buying the 30 hectares vineyard is just “another famous Hollywood couple planning some kind of marketing stunt”, think again! From the very beginning, the Jolie-Pitt family has been very invested in the whole process, checking on the production every month.

The Miraval, the celebrity rosé that became the "World’s Best Rosé" in 2013 according to Wine Spectator, is a delicate organic wine, deeply aromatic and elegant. But it was just a stepping stone for the Pitt-Perrin dream team. With the help of Rodolphe Peters (from the renown champagne house Pierre Peters), they’ve launched their new champagne rosé in October 2020: the Fleur de Miraval.

Provence rosé, as told by Brad Pitt

The famous Château Miraval and its 30 hectares vineyard can be found in the Var department (in the French Provence region), and more precisely in the small village of Correns. Built during the 17th century, the building has been the home of many famous people, like Thomas Aquinas, Joseph-Louis Lambot or Jacques Loussier. In 2011, the castle was bought by soon to be married Hollywood power couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. Later on, they decided to produce their very own celebrity rosé wines.

The famous Miraval, a.k.a. Wine Spectator's "World's Best Rosé 2013", is the result of two well-known families working together: the Perrins and the Pitts. This incredible collaboration between the glamour of Hollywood and the craftsmanship of the Rhône Valley gave us the Miraval Rosé. A very pale rosé wine, with intense flower aromas and a delicious cherry and strawberry taste.
