Tasting notes for the Muse de Miraval 2021 - Château Miraval (Magnum)

  • EYE: The Côte de Provence Muse de Miraval 2021, presented here in an elegant magnum bottle, reveals a robe of pale and crystalline pink. Its brilliance evokes the clarity of a sunny day, while the slightly salmon reflections add a touch of sophistication.
  • NOSE: This wine unveils an expressive aromatic bouquet, subtly combining floral notes of rose and jasmine with fruity aromas of white peach and melon. Delicate hints of citrus bring an additional freshness, creating a pleasant and balanced olfactory experience.
  • MOUTH: An elegant and refreshing experience. The flavors of red fruits, such as strawberry and raspberry, harmoniously blend with a slight minerality. The silky texture and the vivacity of the acidity give this wine a persistent and delightfully energizing finish.

In short: The Côte de Provence Muse de Miraval 2021 in magnum format offers a balanced tasting experience, highlighting the finesse of its aromatic profile and the freshness of its structure. This wine can be opened within the next 2 to 3 years, if stored under optimal conditions. It pairs beautifully with a variety of Mediterranean dishes, such as a quinoa salad with citrus and mint, garlic and lemon sautéed shrimp, or even warm goat cheese and honey toast.

Château Miraval

Provence rosé, as told by Brad Pitt

The famous Château Miraval and its 30 hectares vineyard can be found in the Var department (in the French Provence region), and more precisely in the small village of Correns. Built during the 17th century, the building has been the home of many famous people, like Thomas Aquinas, Joseph-Louis Lambot or Jacques Loussier. In 2011, the castle was bought by soon to be married Hollywood power couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. Later on, they decided to produce their very own celebrity rosé wines.

The famous Miraval, a.k.a. Wine Spectator's "World's Best Rosé 2013", is the result of two well-known families working together: the Perrins and the Pitts. This incredible collaboration between the glamour of Hollywood and the craftsmanship of the Rhône Valley gave us the Miraval Rosé. A very pale rosé wine, with intense flower aromas and a delicious cherry and strawberry taste.
