Bordeaux Wine since 1610
The Domaine Le Puy is a vineyard located in Saint-Cibard, in the Bordeaux region, overlooking the municipalities of Saint-Émilion and Pomerol. With a history dating back over 400 years, the estate was acquired by the Amoreau family in 1610 and has been passed down through generations ever since. The family plays a crucial role in preserving the winemaking tradition and the history of the estate.
Renowned for its lasting commitment to biodynamic viticulture since the 17th century, the Domaine Le Puy's winemakers adhere to environmentally friendly farming practices in harmony with natural cycles, avoiding the use of synthetic chemicals and intervening as less as possible during the vinification process. Biodiversity and soil health are also of paramount importance here. The Domaine Le Puy has been certified by Nature & Progrès since 1964, followed by Ecocert and Demeter in the early 1990s.
Producing a range of high-quality wines, including the famous cuvée Émilien featured in the 2023 hit TV series "Drops of God", the estate utilizes grape varieties such as Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Carménère. Described as expressive of the terroir, balanced, and elegant, the wines reflect the estate's commitment to prioritizing quality over quantity. The yield is carefully controlled to ensure the highest quality grapes, contributing to the production of exceptional wines.
