Champagne Coessens
Champagne Coessens precisely captures the singular character of its Largillier monopole in Ville-sur-Arce, crafting pure, tense, and deeply distinctive wines in which Pinot Noir reveals the full power of the terroir.
Champagne Coessens – The Voice of a Singular Terroir
Maison Coessens, based in Ville-sur-Arce in the heart of the Côte des Bar, has forged a unique identity around its Largillier monopole, an exceptional parcel planted exclusively with Pinot Noir. It is from this terroir—cultivated with near-artisanal precision—that the vast majority of the estate’s cuvées are born.
The Coessens philosophy rests on a simple yet demanding principle: let the terroir speak. Work in the vineyard is meticulous and respectful, designed to express the full richness of Largillier. In the cellar, interventions are kept to a minimum to preserve the wine’s authenticity, purity, and vibrancy.
The Coessens style is defined by wines that are refined, precise, and deeply expressive, marked by fresh mineral tension, rare aromatic depth, and a consistently mastered elegance. Through their Champagnes—and their Côteaux Champenois reds—the Maison reveals a sincere and precise vision of its terroir: one place, one substance, one identity.
