Corton Renardes Grand Cru 2014 - Magnum - Domaine Michel Gaunoux
The story of the Domaine Michel Gaunoux began in 1885, when Alexandre Gaunoux started to develop one of the best Pommards from the Cote de Nuits and quickly became quite popular among a select few. His grandson, Michel, was in charge of the domain from 1957 to 1984. After his untimely death, his widow and their son, Alexandre Jr., continued to run the winery and kept the name "Michel Gaunoux" as an homage.
The Gaunoux family domaine cultivates a perfect harmony between power and finesse in their production, thanks to their respect of traditions and lengthy vatting periods. Their wines can become exceptional after being kept in a cellar for a few years.

The legacy of a Pommard wine legend
The story of the Domaine Michel Gaunoux began in 1875, when Alexandre Gaunoux started to develop one of the best Pommard wines from the Côte de Beaune and quickly became quite popular among a select few. After his untimely death, his widow and her two children, Anne and Alexandre, continued to run the winery and kept the name "Michel Gaunoux" as an homage. The Gaunoux family domaine cultivates a perfect harmony between strength and finesse in their production, thanks to their respect of traditions and lengthy vatting periods.
