Description
  •  Presentation of the winery

Bouchard Père & Fils was founded in 1731 by Michel Bouchard in Beaune. More than 9 generations have worked in this exceptional domain, consolidated for over 280 years.

The creation of the family estate began in 1775 when Joseph Bouchard acquired the first vines in Volnay. His son, Joseph Antoine Philibert Bouchard, took the opportunity to expand the field by buying several plots in Beaune after the French Revolution, when Clergy and nobility properties were being sold.

The successive acquisitions, throughout the 19th and 20th centuries, lead to the current estate, the largest in Côte d'Or, with 130 hectares of vineyards, 12 of which classified as Grand Cru and 74 as Premier Cru.

Biodynamics reign supreme over the 450 plots of the estate, crops are harvested by hand, and the vine carefully sorted before vatting. The process is long, and done in the best conditions, in underground cellars in the estate.
