In 1997, the company of Nicolas Potel opened his doors, after the sale of the winery of Volnay, following the death of his father. In early 1998, Nicolas Potel started a research on its trading activity in order to concentrate its activity on the purchase of grapes and the acquisition of prestigious wines. Nicolas Potel has invested heavily, he moved his company near the railway station of Nuits Saint Georges in a beautiful Burgundian house. The philosophy of work Nicolas Potel, allows him to produce great wines worthy of being honored in guidebooks and magazines.

Chambertin-Clos de Bèze is a red wine, Gevrey Chambertin grand cru, known since the 7th century, when the vineyards belonged to the monks of the Abbey of Bèze. It is surrounded by two other great wines, Chambertin (which he can take the name of) and Mazis.

In 1997, Nicolas Potel's business opened its doors in Nuits-Saint-Georges, after the sale of the family estate in Volnay estate (the Domaine de la Pousse d'Or, located on the Côte de Beaune), due to the death of his father Gérard. In the early months of 1998, Nicolas Potel used his large address book and began working on his trading activity in order to concentrate his efforts on the purchase of grapes and the acquisition of prestigious wines.
Nicolas Potel invested a lot of money in his Burgundy company and decided to move next to the railway station of Nuits-Saint-Georges, in former warehouses. His work philosophy allowed him to produce grands crus wines worthy of being honored in guidebooks and magazines, boosting his reputation all over the world. The wines made by Nicolas Potel will give you the pure taste of fruits, grown in the centuries-old Côte de Nuits terroir.
