Domaine Robert Chevillon

Domaine Robert Chevillon

Grands crus from Nuits-Saint-Georges

The Domaine Chevillon is located on the Côte de Nuits, in the village of Nuits-Saint-Georges to be more precise. Founded by Symphorien Chevillon in the early 1900's, the estate was handed down from father to son, to finally end up in Robert's hands in 1961. The latter added his own name to the Chevillon moniker and vowed to develop the family business. He did so until 2003, leaving the estate to his two sons, Denis and Bertrand, before retiring.

The two brothers are still both currently in charge of the 13 hectares Burgundy estate, where they mainly cultivate Chardonnay and Pinot Gris grape varieties. They represent the fourth generation to work this soil and are fervent believers in tradition, although they also use modern methods of wine making. The wines that are produced here are dense and precise, born from hours of toiling in the vineyards and the cellar. The Chevillons' wines are acclaimed by the entire world, though their distribution remains confidential in France.
