Domaine Delamotte
Champagne from Mesnil-sur-Oger of the Côte des Blancs
The Delamotte estate, founded in 1760 by François Delamotte, is one of the oldest and most prestigious Champagne domains. François Delamotte, a major vineyard owner in Cumières, established this wine house during a period of intellectual and cultural effervescence. The estate is based on family expertise, involving his sons Alexandre and Nicolas-Louis.
In 1927, Marie-Louise de Nonancourt relocated the activities to Mesnil-sur-Oger, in the heart of the Côte des Blancs, famous for its chalky soils and a climate favorable to chardonnay cultivation. This unique white grape of the region gives Delamotte champagnes exceptional minerality and finesse. In 1988, the Delamotte estate was integrated into Laurent-Perrier group, along with its neighbor, the Salon estate. Since then, the two estates have been considered "sister houses." Since 1997, under the direction of Didier Depond, the estate continues to shine in over fifty countries.
The house's main cuvées are Brut, Blanc de Blancs, Brut Rosé, and Blanc de Blancs Millésimé, all recognized for their elegance and aromatic complexity.
For over 250 years, Delamotte has embodied Champagne excellence, offering wines appreciated by discerning enthusiasts worldwide. Each cuvée reflects the harmonious marriage between tradition and innovation, guaranteeing champagnes of remarkable quality and great aging potential. The Delamotte estate, with its historical roots and commitment to the art of champagne, remains an essential reference in the wine world.
