  • EYE: Pale and brilliant yellow hue with green reflections. The color is clear and luminous, evoking the freshness and liveliness of the wine.
  • NOSE: A delicate and expressive bouquet. Aromas of citrus fruits such as lime and grapefruit emerge, bringing a lively and tangy note. Subtle hints of white fruits like green apple and pear can also be perceived, adding a touch of sweetness to the overall profile. Subtle mineral notes are also present, reflecting the Burgundian terroir.
  • MOUTH: You will discover a lively and fresh wine. The acidity is well pronounced, providing a sense of liveliness and balance. The citrus flavors unfold with energy, offering a delightful freshness and a gentle pleasant bitterness. Discreet mineral notes can also be detected, adding complexity and depth to the overall experience. The finish is persistent, leaving a pleasant sensation of freshness on the palate.

In short: This Bourgogne Aligoté 2019 pairs perfectly with seafood dishes such as oysters, shrimp, or mussels, thanks to its freshness and liveliness. It can also be enjoyed as an aperitif, accompanied by fresh goat cheese or light salads. This is a white wine that reflects the typical qualities of the Burgundy appellation. A new generation of female winemakers in Meursault

Anne Boisson, the daughter of famous winemaker Bernard Boisson-Vadot, is managing her 1.5 Ha of vineyard on the family estate of 8.5 Ha (3.5 for the parents and their Domaine Boisson-Vadot, 3.5 for her brother, Pierre Boisson). The Boisson estate, located in Meursault, is working on various appellations, such as Meursault, Auxey-Duresses or Bourgogne aligoté.

The Boisson family works in compliance with nature in all their different estates, with great respect for natural processes. A substantive work is being done on vines: no addition of fertilizer, tilled plots, manual harvesting, and during winemaking (indigenous yeasts, long aging in barrels, bottling without filtration). The Meursault "Les Grands Charrons" (over 25 years old vines), "Les Chevalières", and Meursault 1er Cru "Les Genevrières" are the most famous parcels of the estate. The cuvée "Sous la Velle" is made with 60 year-old grapevines. This estate, which was still pretty much unknown a few years back, is now one of the rising stars of the Burgundy region.
