Famous Bordeaux wine trading house

 

Founded in 1886 by Sixte Duclot, the Bordeaux trading house now belongs to the Moueix family, since 1956. At the helm, back then, was Jean-Pierre Moueix. Widely known for his art collection and his excellent taste in fine wines, he managed the group until 1970. That year, he left his son Jean-François Moueix in charge of everything. Then, in 2019, Jean-Pierre's grandson Jean Moueix became the new CEO. Both Jean-François and Jean are co-owners of the famous Château Pétrus estate.

The Duclot Group has given birth to many other businesses, brands and outlets, such as the Chateaunet e-commerce website, the distribution firm La Vinicole in Paris, the Badie wine store in Bordeaux, and more. The Moueix family and their companis have become a cornerstone in the world of fine wine and they're now present all over the world (New York, Hong Kong, Paris, Bordeaux...)
