All the graphs used in this article are sourced from wine-searcher.com. While we have previously mentioned LivEx in our articles, we have opted to rely on statistics that are accessible to everyone in order to make it more inclusive. These data are calculated based on internal parameters within the wine-searcher platform. They generally represent the wine market, but may not be applicable to all scenarios. Please note that for the same parameter, data may vary between different platforms.

 

To conduct our analysis, we will rely on the following graphs:

• The first graph shows the price evolution (price history) of the bottle over a given period.
• The second graph displays the number of offers (availability) for the same bottle over a given period.

I. Meursault Fabien Coche "Goutte d’Or" 2020

We start strong with the Fabien Coche estate, a vineyard located in Meursault, Burgundy. It is led by Fabien Coche, a passionate winemaker who represents the fourth generation of winemakers in his family. The estate spans approximately 10 hectares of vineyards, mainly in the Meursault region, with plots in prestigious appellations such as Meursault Premier Cru and Puligny-Montrachet. The vines are cultivated using environmentally friendly methods, emphasizing biodiversity and ecosystem preservation. Fabien Coche places great importance on the quality of his grapes, working meticulously in the vineyards to obtain fruits of excellent quality. He also practices meticulous winemaking, using traditional techniques and paying great attention to detail. These wines are often sought after by connoisseurs and enthusiasts of fine wines, like you and us. The production is relatively limited, giving the wines a certain exclusivity, making it advantageous to acquire them.

 

I.2. The Meursault Fabien Coche "Goutte d'Or" 2020 wine

 

The Meursault Fabien Coche 1er Cru Goutte d'Or 2020 is a white wine produced in the Meursault region of Burgundy, France. This particular wine comes from the Goutte d'Or vineyard, which is classified as premier cru, indicating its recognized superior quality. The 2020 vintage is relatively recent, meaning the wine is still young. It is also likely to have good aging potential: it can develop and improve over time while stored in the bottle.

 

 

In April 2022, the bottle of Meursault Premier Cru Goutte d'Or 2020 was sold on average for €74 on the website wine-searcher.com. Over a year later, the same bottle is now sold for €97. In 13 months, this 2020 Meursault has seen an increase of 31%, which is nearly 38% per year. Imagine what that would represent over 10 years! We can also observe a peak in May 2022, followed by a slight decrease towards the end of the year. Since 2023, the selling price has been gradually increasing and stabilizing. When you see a "stable" curve like this for the current period, it indicates a favorable opportunity for acquisition, as the logical next step would be a further increase in value.

 

 

On the supply side (left graph), April 2022 was challenging for buyers: there was only one offer available compared to nine in May 2023. The peak number of offers was reached in February 2023 and has been decreasing since then. The bottle is becoming increasingly scarce but also more in demand! We recommend purchasing the bottle while it is still available. Once it becomes unavailable, you can take comfort in knowing that you have it in your cellar. As it becomes sought-after and rare, it becomes ideal for resale with a profit. You can see from the right graph that the search rank (which can be associated with customer demand) for Meursault Premier Cru Goutte d'Or has been fluctuating since June 2013 (ranked 23,439th among searched wines). The demand has been stabilizing and gradually increasing since October 2020. In April 2023, this wine is the 6,788th most searched for on the platform. As demand increases, stocks decrease, so take advantage of it while the price remains stable!

 

I.3. Why invest in the Meursault Premier Cru "Goutte d'Or" 2020 by Fabien Coche?

 

After analyzing the price, demand, and supply, the Meursault Premier Cru Goutte d'Or 2020 appears to be a promising investment. The annual increase of 38%, the rarity, and the growing demand for this wine highlight its appeal among enthusiasts and investors. Buying it now while the price is slightly decreasing can be a good strategy to benefit from it in the medium to long term. Availability is also decreasing, with fewer suppliers offering it due to increasing demand. The Fabien Coche estate is renowned for making each vintage more sensational than the previous one. We begin with the current star: l'Anglore, a vineyard located in the Rhône region, highly appreciated by colleagues! Managed by Éric Pfifferling, it is renowned for producing natural and biodynamic wines. The winemaker cultivates the vines using organic methods and follows the principles of biodynamics, which emphasize respect for the ecosystem and the use of natural preparations to care for the vines. The grape varieties used vary depending on the cuvées, but traditional varieties from the Rhône region are notably present, such as Grenache, Carignan, Cinsault, and Mourvèdre. The wines are also naturally vinified, without the addition of chemicals or industrial yeasts, allowing the natural expression of the grapes and terroir to be preserved. In recent months, we have noticed that l'Anglore wines are highly sought after and often available in limited quantities. The estate places great importance on quality rather than quantity, contributing to their ever-growing reputation.

 

II.2. Traverse 2021

 

Traverse wine is a red wine crafted from typical grape varieties of the Rhône region, such as Syrah, Grenache, and Mourvèdre. These grape varieties are known for producing flavorful, complex, and well-structured wines. The Anglore estate distinguishes itself with its respectful approach to nature and commitment to organic and biodynamic agriculture. The vines are cultivated without the use of synthetic chemicals, allowing for the production of superior-quality grapes and the preservation of soil and environmental health. Wines produced by this estate are often sought after by enthusiasts of natural and authentic wines. They are characterized by their pure expression of terroir, freshness, aromatic complexity, and elegance. They are often crafted using artisanal methods, with natural fermentation and minimal intervention.

 

 

In July 2022, this reference was sold on average for 21€. In May 2023, its selling price is 91€. This represents a truly spectacular increase, as the value of the bottle has risen by 333.33% in less than a year. Looking at the graph, we can observe that the major peak occurred in October 2022, followed by a slight decline and then stabilization since December 2022. The 333.33% increase is an exceptional achievement in such a short time in the wine industry. We can only recommend that you purchase a bottle to witness its value increase each year.

   

The availability of this wine on the platform was very low until a sharp increase in December. We then observed a decline in January, followed by a rise and stabilization of the supply, which remains quite high (13 offers on wine-searcher). As seen on the right graph, the search rank shows a significant fluctuation since June 2013. There have been several drops in demand, for example, in October 2016, February, September, and December 2018, as well as in November and December 2019. The highest demand was reached in July 2022 and has since stabilized. The range of wines from the Anglore estate has been highly sought after in recent months. Despite the high demand, availability has remained relatively constant for now, although stocks are starting to deplete and prices are rising based on our knowledge.

 

II.3. Why invest in the red wine Traverse 2021?

 

Currently, the availability of this wine is quite interesting with a significant quantity for sale. The demand trends indicate a growing interest in this product and its potential to maintain its value in the long term. The historical growth in the value of the bottle and its recent market stability suggest that its appreciation potential is solid and can be a good investment. The trendiness surrounding this estate contributes greatly to the increase in demand and price. Furthermore, Anglore wines have been increasingly focused on long-term aging in recent years (currently ranging from 5 to 10 years), making it an interesting wine for investment. To acquire it, you will need to act quickly as we only have one bottle left in stock.

III. Saint Aubin "Les Frionnes" 2020 d’Hubert Lamy

The Saint-Aubin "Les Frionnes" 2020 is a white wine produced in the Saint-Aubin appellation in Burgundy. Saint-Aubin is a renowned wine region known for producing high-quality white wines from the Chardonnay grape variety. The 2020 vintage is considered good in Burgundy, with favorable weather conditions that allowed the grapes to reach a beautiful maturity. This is reflected in the Saint-Aubin "Les Frionnes" 2020, which offers a characteristic expression of the appellation's terroir.

The Saint-Aubin "Les Frionnes" 2020 can be enjoyed now to appreciate its freshness and liveliness, but it also has aging potential that will allow it to develop further complexity and aromas over time.

 

 

The Saint-Aubin "Les Frionnes" started being sold at a price of 47€ in June 2020. Its value increased dramatically from October 2022, reaching its peak in February 2023. After a slight decline, its price stabilized around 108€, making it an opportune moment to purchase. We can conclude that the increase was 61€ over 2 years and 11 months, which amounts to almost 130% in total. Annually, owners of this wine see their bottle gain 44.5%, which is an excellent rate that proves to be very advantageous in the long term.

 

 

From July 2020 to July 2022, the increase in supply shows a positive but slight trend. A significant rise can be observed from January to March 2023 (similar to the price increase), followed by a small decline in April and a rebound in May. This can be related to the price decrease in March: availability was very high, so prices were lowered to clear the stocks. The increase in demand in April explains the decrease in availability. Furthermore, the demand has steadily increased since June 2013. The Frionnes from the Hubert Lamy estate were ranked 19,280th in searches at that time. Today, this product is ranked 1,924th in Wine-Searcher searches, clear evidence that this wine is becoming more and more desired.

 

III.3. Why invest in the Saint Aubin "Les Frionnes" 2020 from the Hubert Lamy estate?

IV. Gevrey-Chambertin, Justice des Seuvrées 2019 - Perrot-Minot

The Perrot-Minot Estate is located in Morey-Saint-Denis, in the Burgundy region of France. It was founded by Christophe Perrot-Minot in the late 19th century and is now considered one of the most renowned producers in the region, and remains a favorite at Pleasure Wine! The estate owns vineyards in several prestigious appellations of Burgundy, including Gevrey-Chambertin and Chambolle-Musigny. The vines are cultivated according to biodynamic principles, which means that environmentally friendly methods in harmony with nature are used to grow the grapes. The Perrot-Minot Estate stands out for its artisanal approach and commitment to quality. Yields are kept low to ensure optimal concentration of aromas and flavors in the grapes. Harvesting is done by hand, and meticulous attention is paid to every step of the winemaking process. From regional appellations to premier crus and grands crus, each wine reflects the meticulous work done in the vineyard and cellar and expresses the unique character of its terroir. The name "Justice des Seuvrées" refers to a specific plot of vineyards. The grapes used for this wine come from that plot and are primarily sourced from the iconic Pinot Noir grape, which is emblematic of the region. The 2019 vintage is considered excellent in Burgundy, with favorable weather conditions that allowed for optimal grape ripening. This typically results in well-balanced wines with beautiful aromatic intensity and harmonious tannic structure. This Gevrey-Chambertin can be enjoyed in its youth, but it also has good aging potential, allowing the wine's aromas and characteristics to further develop over time.

   

The price of this Gevrey-Chambertin went from €119 in August 2021 to €179 in May 2023. In 1 year and 9 months, the value of the bottle has therefore increased by 50%, which equates to 28.8% per year of ownership. It can be observed from the graph that this price evolution occurred gradually, without significant positive or negative variations. This consistency is particularly interesting from a reliable investment perspective, as the increase will become more and more advantageous in the long term for the holder.

 

 

Regarding availability, this bottle was relatively difficult to find in August 2021. Since then, the supply has increased, with a significant rise starting from March 2023, which led to a slight increase in price. In terms of demand, the Gevrey-Chambertin Justice des Seuvrées was ranked 125,226th in December 2019 in searches on wine-searcher, compared to 5,099th in April 2023. This wine has been highly sought after in recent months. The timing seems ideal to acquire it, as both availability and price are favorable.
