Fine Burgundy wines since 1985
The Domaine Fontaine-Gagnard is a family-owned winery located in the town of Chassagne-Montrachet, on the Côte de Beaune in Burgundy. It was created in 1985 by the union of two winegrowing families: the Fontaines and the Gagnards. The wine estate is now run by Céline Fontaine and her husband Frédéric Gagnard. The couple's vineyard covers an area of 12 hectares, the majority of which is dedicated to white wines. In total, the Domaine Fontaine-Gagnard produces 10 Premier Crus wines, including wines from the appellations Chassagne-Montrachet, Puligny-Montrachet, Bâtard-Montrachet, Meursault, Pommard...
The estate practices sustainable viticulture, which involves minimizing the use of pesticides and chemical fertilizers and promoting sustainable agricultural practices. The grapes are harvested by hand to preserve the quality of the fruit, and the winemaking process is very traditional. The wines of the Domaine Fontaine-Gagnard are often described as elegant and refined, reflecting the characteristics of their climates. They are highly regarded by wine connoisseurs and have received numerous accolades from the specialized press.
